Yankton Runs Back-to-Back Nationals and Worlds in Field Archery

The 81st NFAA Outdoor National Field Championships runs July 24–26, one round per day — Field, Hunter, and Animal — before handing the range straight over to the IFAA World Field Archery Championships, which runs July 27–31 with five rounds of competition. Same venue, back-to-back. That kind of double-header doesn't happen often, and Yankton's pulling it off across a single 10-day stretch.

Field archery spans three disciplines — Field, Hunter, and Animal — with 28 targets per round at distances anywhere from 20 feet out to 80 yards. The IFAA worlds stack two Field Rounds, two Hunter Rounds, and one Animal Round before wrapping with an Awards Banquet on August 1. Over 400 competitors, juniors through masters, are on the line.

The IFAA Opening Ceremony on Sunday, July 26 at 5 p.m. is free and open to the public — a chance to watch athletes from all 16 competing nations get introduced before worlds competition kicks off the next morning.
