Fletching Jigs: Reviews & Rankings
Workshop fletching jigs scored on printed street price, vanes per cycle, and the longest vane the maker puts on the page.
A $49 JoJan and a $350 Vane Master Pro are not the same tool. Put them on one price board and the cheap jig wins. That is a merge, not a ranking. This page is the workshop shelf. We score three printed numbers: street price for the jig only, how many vanes go on in one cycle, and the longest vane the maker prints. Extra clamps stay off the receipt. Left, right, and straight are one product. Plastic versus metal is a lie as a split. JoJan is aluminum at $49. The Cauldron is composite. Price is the wire. Missing vane length drops. We never guess a 2° helical for a silent page, and we never invent clamp pressure.
How to read this: Workshop board only. Cheap/simple jigs (AAE Fletch III ~$46, Goat Tuff GT ~$50, JoJan Mono ~$49) and the $350 Last Chance Vane Master Pro stay out. Wave 4 street-price bounds are frozen at $60–$180 — maker PDP headline config, jig only, no extra clamps. Bitzenburger and OMP may use authorized street if the maker prints no price. Left/right/straight is one product. Tower, Cauldron, and Frontier kit variants (Youth, Crossbow, Helix, Triple, Complete-as-a-second-SKU, Feather, Mylar) are one product each. Do not merge into Arrows. Do not invent clamp pressure. Unpublished specs drop and weights renormalise. We never guess, and we never zero.

Fletching Jig buying guide
- Why isn't the $46 AAE or the $49 JoJan on this list?
- This page is the workshop band, frozen at $60–$180. AAE Fletch III, Goat Tuff GT, and JoJan Mono live under $60. Drop one here and it wins price against every tool we shipped. They are real jigs. They wait for a cheap-jig sibling, the same way a $40 Bowmaster waits outside the press board.
- Where is the Last Chance Vane Master Pro?
- It costs about $350. Wave 4 stops at $180 on purpose. Drop a $350 jig into this band and the price rank flips the same way a $649 Brute flipped the flagship compounds, or a $479 EZ Green would flip if a $40 pocket press sat next to it. The Vane Master Pro is a real tool. It needs its own band.
- Do I buy a left-helical jig and a right-helical jig?
- Not as two CareScores. Left, right, and straight are one product. Arizona sells helical as a picker on one PDP. Bohning Pro Class Complete includes all three clamps. Bitzenburger #1002 / #1004 / #1006 / #1020 is the same tool with a different clamp kit. We record one street and one row.
- Tower, Cauldron, Frontier — why only one of each?
- The Youth, Crossbow, Helix, Triple, Feather, and Mylar boxes are kit clones of the same jig. Scoring them twice would clone the board. We pick the printed Complete dollar on Frontier ($98.25) and Cauldron ($179.46), and the Helix dollar on Tower ($106.77). We do not average the range.
- Why isn't this just a section under Arrows?
- Arrows score spine, GPI, and straightness. A jig scores vanes per cycle and a printed vane cap. Those numbers do not live on an arrow page. Folding them together would make a $65 cam look like a cheap dozen, which tells you nothing useful about either purchase. Glue, vanes, and the $9.91 Blazer 4-fletch adapter are not jigs. They stay off this sheet.
What the CareScore measures
The complete formula, bounds and data rules are published on the methodology page.
Street Price
41% weightMaker PDP headline config, jig only, no extra clamps. Frozen at $60–$180 so a $46 AAE cannot steal the rank from a $65 E-Z Fletch, and a $350 Vane Master Pro cannot invert it the other way. Bitzenburger and OMP may use authorized street when the maker prints no price.
Vanes per Cycle
34% weight1 is a single-clamp. 3 is a tower or cam. We do not score a 4-fletch or 6-fletch indexer as extra vanes per cycle. That is a pattern, not a faster jig.
Max Vane Length
24% weightOnly the length the maker prints. Silent pages stay blank and this spec drops. We do not copy a review, and we do not borrow a sibling model's number.
Max Helical
0% weightPrinted degrees only. Avatar-only. Bitzenburger and Arizona stay blank — we do not invent 2° or 3°. A silent dial is not a score.
Folds for Travel
0% weightYes on the Frontier only in this set. One folding jig is not a portable list. Avatar-only. Weight 0 on the overall board.
Small Diameter
0% weightYes when the maker prints an ultra-micro / .166 window. Avatar filter for the small-diameter list. Not a grade.
