The Everest 44 is the compromise case: a padded hybrid roller that's far lighter than a moulded shell at 17.6 lb, ships with a TSA combination lock already fitted, and wheels through an airport like a suitcase instead of a coffin. It won't take the abuse a Pelican will, and Legend backs it for one year rather than a lifetime — but for an archer who flies occasionally and drives often, it's a great deal more practical than either extreme.

Easton's BowTruk is a genuine hybrid — a hard-shell spine wrapped in TPU-coated ballistic nylon, on oversized sealed-bearing skate wheels. At 15 lb it's the lightest travel case here by a clear margin, which matters more than most buyers realise when the airline scale reads 50. The frustrating part is documentation: Easton publishes no interior dimensions at all and names no transit standard, so two of the things you most want to know before spending $500 simply aren't stated.

The Everest 40 is the shorter sibling — 66 linear inches against the 44's 70, with the same padded hybrid build, integrated wheels and a TSA-style combination lock fitted. It suits a shorter-ATA hunting bow where the 44 is simply more case than you need.
