Hurley Archery Sends 14 to World Archery Tournament in Daytona
Fourteen Hurley Archery athletes made the drive to Daytona for the World Archery Tournament on June 18 — a fitting finish to a season that kicked off way back in December. Six months of early mornings, regional meets, and incremental gains all funneled into one day on the range.
Camren Amass topped the Bullseye results with a personal-best 279. Alex Townlian followed at 264, and Lane Luney — who clearly wasn't done — posted a personal-best 262 in that same event. Luney then crossed over to 3D and shot a 258 there too. Paxton Whittington added a 222, and EJ Means closed out the 3D cards with a personal-best 188.
Six personal bests across two disciplines from a single tournament. That's genuinely a strong return. Coaches credited commitment and sportsmanship as the qualities that defined the season, and the program's already got its eyes on next year.
