Armin Hirmer picked up a bow in 1980, started teaching in 1998, and found his lane in 2008 when he discovered Asiatic archery. His YouTube channel — built during a decade running Malta Archery, the island's traditional archery school — holds more than 1,400 videos and roughly 23 million views, most of them patient, plain-spoken tests of horse bows from every tradition he can get his hands on. Since leaving Malta in 2022 he has taught thumb-draw and speed-shooting courses across German-speaking Europe under the Asiatic Archery banner.
